St Martin de Porres Catholic Primary School

Safeguarding

At St Martin de Porres Catholic Primary School, we are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our pupils. We believe that every child has the right to feel safe, secure, and supported in a nurturing environment.

We take our responsibilities seriously and ensure that safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. All staff, governors, and volunteers are trained in child protection and follow our safeguarding policies and procedures rigorously.

We work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of our pupils. Our safeguarding practices are regularly reviewed and updated in line with statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education.

If you have any concerns about a child’s welfare, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Mrs Braithwaite, or one of our Deputy DSLs, Mr Crehan, Mrs Laird, Ms McArdle or Ms Hughes.
